The Zone Welcomes former NCAA Commissioner Amy Huchthausen to the Advisory Board

Updated: May 16, 2022

NEW YORK, May. 17, 2022 - Today, The Zone is thrilled to announce that Amy Huchthausen has joined our advisory board.

Amy started her 22-year career in college athletics by working for several NCAA Division I conferences including the Big East, Atlantic Coast and Missouri Valley before spending time at the NCAA National Office. These experiences led the America East Conference to hire her as its commissioner in 2011. In her ten years leading the America East, Huchthausen landed a massive long-term broadcasting deal with ESPN, helping the conference get significantly more national exposure through a variety of progressive initiatives. While commissioner, she earned her MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Currently, she's working as the Chief Administrative Officer of Stavvy, a financial tech company that aims to streamline and protect financial transactions in the lending industry.

Huchthausen is thrilled to be a part of what The Zone is building, affirming that she is “fully aligned with The Zone's mission” emphasizing that right now is a “critical time where the opportunity to impact so many student athletes has never been more important.”

With her extensive expertise in college athletics, Amy will play a pivotal role in helping our team navigate the industry and extend our outreach to more colleges and universities across the country. What she has learned from the industry over more than two decades whilst building important relationships with some of its biggest names is invaluable to our mission.

Amy's career in college athletics fits in perfectly with our well-rounded group of members on the advisory board.
